What is podcast piracy?

When podcast creators are getting started, they submit their shows to various directories so listeners can find them. Lately, there's been a disturbing trend of podcasts being duplicated and monetized without the creator's knowledge or consent. 

How is your podcast protected?

Early on, we made the decision to only accept support for shows that are found in Apple's Podcast Directory. We made this decision because Apple's criteria and review process prevent a vast majority of bad actors. This makes it easier for us to determine who legitimately owns a podcast, and who doesn't. In the rare event that something nefarious does occur, Apple is quick to remove the offending party.
